6.4/10

My stay at the hotel was decent, with a good location for exploring Shanghai on foot, and a fair price for the accommodation. The rooms were basic but served their purpose for a short stay. One downside was the noise from being in a central area, and the breakfast options were not that great. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're looking for somewhere to sleep while you explore the city.

Rooms
7.0
The room I stayed in was okay, nothing special, but it had all the essentials. It was on the smaller side with a very basic bathroom.
Service
6.0
The reception service was satisfactory. The staff had limited English, but it was enough for check-in and check-out without any major issues.
Location
8.0
The location was convenient, especially for sightseeing. It was just a short walk to the Bund and many local attractions, with the subway nearby.
Dining

Breakfast was included but mostly consisted of local Chinese foods that weren't too appealing. However, we had an evening meal there that was both good and inexpensive.

The hotel's amenities were basic, but the free Wi-Fi was a plus, and there were no major complaints.

I found the Hao Du to be a basic yet budget-friendly hotel. It has decent locations and reasonable prices, making it suitable for short stays. However, the rooms can be quite small and the breakfast options are limited. On top of that, the noise from the street can be bothersome if you're a light sleeper.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms are quite small, and mine was basic with a tiny bathroom. I would rate them a 5 since they meet essential needs but lack comfort.
Service

The receptionists could speak some English, which was helpful for check-in and check-out. Overall, I would give the service a 6.

Breakfast options are primarily local Chinese cuisine, and I didn't find it great. However, I enjoyed a very good evening meal at a low price. I'd rate the dining experience a 5.

I had a solid stay at the Hao Du, where the price was quite reasonable for what I got. It's a basic hotel but offers free Wi-Fi. While my room was small and the bathroom a bit tight, the location is great for those wanting to explore. Breakfast wasn't impressive, but the evening meal at the hotel was surprisingly good and affordable. If you're just looking for a place to crash after a day out, this hotel serves its purpose, but it's not for those wanting luxury.

Rooms

The room I stayed in was quite small with a tiny bathroom, but it had a window. The view from higher floors is probably nicer, as my friends had a better room there.
Service
6.0
The reception staff had a basic grasp of English, which was enough for checking in and out, though it wasn't perfect.
Location
8.0
The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to walk to key sightseeing spots like the Bund and Fuxing Park within 20-25 minutes. Plus, there's a subway station nearby for further exploration.
Dining

Breakfast was local Chinese food, which I didn't find very appealing, but the dinner at the hotel turned out to be very good and affordable.

I found the hotel to have a really great location that made it easy to explore Shanghai on foot or catch the subway nearby. The room I stayed in was quite basic, but it served my needs for a place to sleep. However, it was somewhat noisy at times, and the breakfast options weren't the best. Overall, it's affordable and decent if you don't mind the hustle and bustle outside.

I had a decent stay at this hotel. The location is fantastic for walking and exploring Shanghai, and there's easy access to the subway. The room was pretty basic, but it met my needs for a short visit. On the downside, the noise from the street was a bit much, and the breakfast options could have been better. Overall, it's a good choice for an affordable stay but not ideal for relaxation.
